Ariens Co., of Brillion, has recalled 1,040 snow throwers to solve a problem that could result in personal injury.
Users trying to clear the snow discharge chute or collector, while the machine is running, could risk a finger or hand injury, according to a recall notice Ariens issued Tuesday.
The orange-and-black snow throwers were sold at Ariens dealerships and Home Depot stores from October 2009 to January 2010 for about $1,500. The model number is 921020 and the serial numbers range from 000101 through 001229.
No injuries have been reported, and Ariens has already fixed about 600 of these snow throwers.
Consumers should contact a dealership or the company for repair information.
